Players pop in to inspire our students

Earlier this month we were delighted when we had a visit from Town Players, Aaron Cresswell, Danny Higginbotham and Tommy Smith who popped along to one of our Going for Goals sessions with the children from Ranelagh Road Primary School.The children from the Ipswich school all prepared questions for the players and then took on the role of a journalist . All the children were excited to gather in the ITFC Media Suite to ask each of the players questions just like a real sports journalist.

We have to say the students were excellent and some we feel really look destined for a career in the media. The children were really impressed when they discovered Danny Higginbotham made his professional debut playing for Manchester United and were equally taken aback with Tommy Smith’s World Cup stories and tales of his travels around the world playing for New Zealand. Our grateful thanks to the ITFC Players and Jade Cole from the Town for arranging the visit which we're sure will stay with the students for a very long time.
